Clasification of the difficulty of the mountaineering terrain according to UIAA - (The internatonal union of the mountaineering associatons)
  1. The easiest form of rock climbing, to keep balance you use your hands. Begginers need to be secured by rope.
  2. There is the beginning of climbing that requires to keep the rule of the three fixed points.
  3. Securing by rope is recommended on the steep areas. Vertical areas and overhangs with good snatch need to use the strenght.
  4. There begins difficult climbing, which requires considerable climbing experience. Longer climbing parts need more securing by rope.

General assessments
  1. If a guide finishes a trek due to the weather conditions, the wish of a client or because of the difficulties of a client before the end of a trek, tariff won't change.
  2. Tariff doesn't involve expanditures of a guide on food and accomodation on chalets during the trek and on transportation with the means of transport. These expanses are paid by client.
  3. You book the trek in our mountainguide office (in Stary Smokovec), where you pay whole tariff for the trek or at least 50% of tariff per one guide.
  4. In the office you will be told the name of the guide, time and place of the meeting.
  5. By the booking of the trek client have to inform our staff about his health difficulties which can influence the course of the trek (heart problems, epilepsy, asthma …)
  6. If a client doesn't arrive on the place of meeting or he arrives but the trek is canceled because of the difficulties of a client to begin the trek, guide gets 50% of the tariff.
  7. If the trek is canceled by the client on time (it means 24 hours before its beginning) client will pay a fee of 20% of the tariff.
  8. Waiting on the challet, when it is impossible to start the trek or to continue according to a wish of the client or due to his difficulties, client pays 50% of the tariff. When it lasts more than 6 hours, the whole tariff is charged.
  9. If the trek is not carried out because of the problems with guide or the mountainguide office client will be paid the whole tariff back.
